Exceptional Values since 1984
About Us
Alan Rosen has been involved full time in the jewelry industry since 1984. Since its inception, Alan Rosen has gained a reputation as a source of exceptional jewelry at greatly reduced prices. Our customers include everyone from mom & pop single jewelry store owners, to large national chains with dozens of stores throughout multiple states. Our primary business has always been the thousands of jewelry stores around the US that seek to purchase these pieces at great savings. We are able to offer our exceptional savings due to distress situations. Typically, a jewelry manufacturer contacts us with an urgent need for cash. We step in offering to purchase a large portion of their inventory for immediate payment, but at prices significantly below market value. We then pass those savings on to the jeweler. By this method we continue to be able to be a source of exceptional jewelry creations at significant savings. Fine jewelry manufacturers around world continue to contact us when they find themselves in immediate need of cash, which we purchase only if the jewelry meets our high quality standards. And we continue to pass the savings on to you. Thus our reputation.
Manufacturing
In 1993, we expanded our scope by adding manufacturing both in the United States, as well as in Asia. Most manufacturing is at this time done in Asia, which is why Alan Rosen has so many airline miles. On a continual basis, Alan finds himself traveling to Asia to work with our designers on new creations.
Brick & Mortar
In 2003, we opened our first brick & mortar outlet, The Pearl Experience, in Monsey, New York. On a rotating basis, The Pearl Experience brings in for viewing some of our creations. These may be viewed by scheduling a visit, or you may view any of these creations on this web site.
Web Site
Over the past few years, we have received numerous requests that we post our best values on the web so that individuals can take advantage of these significant savings. In response, we have created this web site which has been created to offer the opportunity for significant savings to the widest audience possible. The jewelry offered is at the same price as the prices paid by the jewelry stores when they shop us for bargains.
Diamonds
We are pleased to have a 20 year relationship with and are personal friends of a major international Diamond cutting company. All diamonds listed are directly from the cutting floor. Though the diamond cutting firm has facilities in both Antwerp & New York, all Diamonds listed are in the New York vault at the time of posting, and will be shipped from the New York City office. A certificate will accompany each diamond. Certificates may be viewed on our web site alongside the diamond’s listing.
Availability
Though we endeavor to update our web inventory hourly, often the volume of orders exceeds our ability to keep up during the day. At the end of each day though, this site should reflect current availability. You may request additional items not found on our site. If there is something that you are looking for that you don’t see, please call & speak to one of our buyers.

A Glimpse into my Frequent Buying Trips
I almost always invite one of my children to accompany me on my buying trips around the world. Here 8 year old Mathew is in Hong Kong with me where I am examining a cultured pearl shipment. Typically we fight hard over prices all day, then go out to dinner as friends at night.
Here Mathew & I visit one of the many street markets that we always enjoy visiting. Whichever of the children are with me, generally look for something new & interesting to bring home to their siblings.
I actually considered buying these rickshaws but shipping them home turned out to be a greater ordeal that I had an interest in. I thought it would be nice to donate them a local US school, so children can learn about how people live in China.
Can you see how sad Mathew is about missing school while he is on this buying trip?
Here on another trip, 10 year old Eric is strolling down Carnavon Road.
Eric asked these Chinese soldiers to have our picture taken with them, and they were happy to oblige. This is not the first group of soldiers that he asked. Most soldiers did not take kindly to the request and briskly told him no.
Midnight Market is something that must be experienced. It operates only at night, and takes place outdoors. This is something that all my children love. The experience is something that can hardly be described.
That’s Eric. Typically, he has taken the Captains seat on this 747.
This is a construction site that we passed. Everything in China is done by hand. Here they are constructing a stairway with concrete. The woman on the left is filling buckets with cement. We watched as one man refused to budge until she took some cement out of his buckets. And you though you had a hard job!
Here the carriers wait to have their buckets filled.
The cement is then carried to the precise place where it is needed.
Typical bamboo scaffolding that is used on the outside of most construction projects. Even the netting used to protect passers by is supported by bamboo. It’s amazing to watch construction workers climb the outside of a building on these bamboo poles. I wouldn’t want to try it myself, but it’s amazing to watch.
